I'm an older millenial, I guess. An 80s baby who spent the bulk of my childhood in the 90s and graduated High School and College in the aughts. High speed Internet and Cable TV showed up in my island nation in the late 90s and suddenly the cartoons only a few of my friends had heard of were watched by all and recapped vividly before school, on breaks, at lunch time and in class, much to the annoyance of our teachers. Toonami entered the scene almost simultaneously and all of a sudden the obscure Japanese cartoons I'd only heard whispers of from friends who were unsupervised in video stores were suddenly right there within reach. I'm speaking of course, of the first anime I can remember transfixing and transcending the culture: Dragon Ball Z.

It has been a long long time. Sorry for what feels like our longest hiatus in a long while. For those of you who have stuck around or listen to any of our other projects we have been doing since our last episode, thanks for sticking around. For those of you who are new, I am going to assume you came from Manga Mavericks. They recently had me, Doctor, as a guest to talk about My Hero Academia. I go into more detail in the actual recording as to how this episode came about but what matters is I spent around three days reading the majority of the manga and I never want to do that again. Bleach is over. Another pillar of the Shounen Jump foundation has fallen. Joined by Ed the Crimson, I go through the last arc of the Bleach manga without having read the actual manga. Using the power of Science, I try to figure out what actually happened during the last arc of the manga which may include: What happens to Ichigo? Who is the Last Boss of the manga? Do you actually see a bottle of bleach at the end?

Wow. We are in a new year and I still haven't finished releasing all this damn audio. Well, here is another chunk that I think was some of the best discussion we had despite some of us being completely sleep deprived. I love the fact that we did this episode when Zach was not around to make him tell us his two cents. Who am I kidding? He has his own show for that. Since the failure that was our One Piece episode has slowly been erased from the feed, we thought it would be best to fill that void and give you an unbiased opinion of the current happenings of the One Piece manga. Of course, if you have already downloaded this episode without reading the notes, you might have just screwed yourself. This is going to be a spoilerific journey through the current arc, where we will grade the individuals (that matter) and give our opinions of who really made the grade.
