Episode 09 - You Got Fooled Into Listening Again

This is episode 9 of a podcast that is Pedobear approved.

We brought back the echo and lost the women for this episode. We kept the suck though. This episode of the A** Backwards Anime Podcast talks about visual novels and eroges, or H-games, and some of things that are involved with that. What?

[Warning] We talk about things that are not meant for the young or the close minded. If you feel that you are offended by the subjects discussed in the episode, then just turn off the recording. Or if we suck. That's a good reason too.

(0:00-2:07) Intro

This is when we decide to not have a conversation before hand and just start off on the topic. It's a new thing for us. I was also very tired during the recording, so if I sound low sorry.

(2:08-6:00) Discussion (Story? In my porn? It's more likely then you think.)

I was not responsible for what was said in this part of the episode. I was just as surprised as you.

(6:01-9:24) Discussion (A? In my B? It's more likely then you think.)

We talk about visual novels and eroges a bit.

(9:25-46:55) Discussion (Anime? In my H-game episode? It's more likely then you think.)

Why try not to go in depth, but we go through some of the shows that have been adapted.

Kite (This was not really a h-game before, but we talk about it anyway)
Type Moon Shows: Tsukihime, Fate/Stay Night
Key Shows: Air, Kanon
School Days
Kimi Ga Nozomu Ein
I know we are missing one we mentioned.

As side note, I was wearing sunglasses at certain parts of the episode.

(46:56-50:59) Discussion (Flesh thingy? In my manga? It's more likely then you think.)

Oh! Great
Hiroyo Oku
Kouta Hirano

(51:00-1:05:16) Discussion (Overused joke? In my notes? It's more likely then you think.)

This part doesn't not really involve h-games, but we cover a variety of things related to it. Things like fanservice, ecchi vs hentai, and lolies. I actually make an argument about about some of these things.

(1:05:17-1:06:39) Closing

I got nothing to add for this episode. If we sounded like robots at times sorry. I am working on it. As for next week, there is something that is going to be discussed that will clear the air for people who have commented on what we have said.

Episode 08 - Gigantic Beam Coke Block

This is episode 8 of a show we should have planned better for, also know as, the SSAA podcast. We lied about doing an episode on H-games and ended up doing an episode on Gundam mecha shows. Trust me it shows how last minute this was. The quality is not as good as I hoped either. That was the main reason for this show being more late then usual. It's not like you care. I'm sure all one of you who is listening doesn't care. Hell, you may be someone we know how told you listen to this podcast because we were desperate. I'm just saying.

I start off by saying that I had to hack this episode to pieces.

(1:56- 27:05) Discussion (Initial D Gundam Endless Waltz 8th Team Destiny vs. Top Gun Gundam)

We more or less try to go rapid fire through most of the shows. I am sure we should have not done an episode on Gundam mech shows while there are podcast like Gundamn! @ MAHQ out there, but whatever if they don't like it they can email us about it. By the way, I am not trying to be sarcastic because I really like that show.

(27:06-31:35) Discussion (How did Zoids get mentioned in the Gundam mech episode)

Next time I arrange this that way we don't jump around.

(32:35-51:40) Discussion (Hopefully that won't happen again)

More Gundam talk and Peterson tries his best to talk so we can hear him. We also show how much we are fanboys for G Gundam.

(51:41-1:04:41) Discussion (What we would like to see in the new Gundam show)

I don't know why The Returner is mentioned, but it looks interesting.

I hope Sunrise is listening (which they aren't), because we had some good ideas.

(1:04:42-1:19:19) Discussion (Non-Gundam Material Here)

I'm starting to think that we hate on Gonzo a bit too much.

We talk about:
Jinki Extend
Code Geass
Not Evangelion

Tomokazu Seki is everywhere. Honestly, he was almost everything we mentioned.

I don't know why, but I confused Tomokazu Seki with Kappei Yamaguchi when I metioned him being in La Blue Girl and Death Note. Sorry about that. I will go through some of the other mistakes another time. Either way, it's more creepy to think of Ussop's VA being in a porno.

(1:19:20-1:) Discussion (More Gundam Material Here)

X, Victory, Turn A

(1:19:20-1:42:00) Discussion (More Non-Gundam Material Here)

Sorry Peterson, we can talk about Megas XLR another time.

We talk about:
Brain Powered
Silent Mobius
Zambot 3
Not Evangelion

Imagine Alucard's voice coming out of this body.

Here is the original Gundam opening

Now the Jinki:EXTEND opening. Do you see!

Now together. DO YOU SEE!

We actually have a plan for week I swear. Click here for whatever Bond Girl was talking about in the end.

(1:46:44-1:39:18)Closing and stinger

Sorry for what we said Foxy. You know we love you.

Email if you're actually listening to this show. A simple hey is enough.
We are sounding desperate now, huh.

Episode 07 - Shinsen-Subs: If You Hate Them, You Are Un-American

This is episode 7 of the SSAA, or the A** Backwards Anime Podcast. The show is a momentous occasion as we temporarily say goodbye to one of the hosts of the podcast. As usual, the planning for this episode was not done was well as I hoped, but we actually sounded very credible. There are no real notes for this episode since most of what we talked about did center upon a certain show. However there are some links to some site we mentioned during the show. So I guess you can consider those show notes then.

I decided to put some time stamps. That way you can just skip to parts of the show that are relevant to today’s youth.

This part of the episode was powered by chili. We ended up having a discussion about socks for some reason. I ended up record this conversation without letting everyone else know about it. We have a quick discussion about Shinsen-Subs then Edward K. By the way, sorry yaoi fangirls, we say mean things. We also talked about how you can save money when eating fast food. All of this, while having sound of crumbling paper in the background. Rain’s magic stick is also mentioned. (Magic stiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick)

(17:30- 35:00) Discussion (Fan ignorance and nostalgia, plus Batman)

We hold a mirror to ourselves to see what we have become. I want to state this right now. We are not historians of anime. Though people may have said that I am expert on anime, I do not consider myself that. I can say the same for the other hosts. I could point you to other people that consider themselves experts, but I think that we have honest opinions and we are at least slightly informative.

Questions were asked. We go on a Smallville tangent for some reason. Then, we go back on topic. How is Batman relevant to this? Find out when you listen. Honestly, it makes sense when you hear it.

(35:01-1:02:00) Discussion (Elitism, actually more about dubs and the industry)

We ended up talking about some dubs and how people how should not hate on it. Yamapi broke one of hosts. Find out whom. There is some confusion between one actress in Rurouni Kenshin and another actress in Evangelion. OMG TEH REI!! Here is a link to the Funimation dub for the episode to Keroro Gunsou. By the way, I am really sorry what was said AP Forums. I didn’t mean most of it. You guys are cool.

(1:02:01-1:16:05) Discussion (The American Anime Industry, I hope)

Long story short, support the industry and buy the DVDs. We have that little scrolling thing on the side of the blog for a reason. If you like a show, prove it with your wallet. We all love anime. That is why you are here. Or you might have been force to click on a link and forced to listen to this terrible podcast. Either way, we do not want to see any more companies collapsing due to poor sales. Except for Bandai Visual, $20 for one episode? F!

(1:16:06-1:32:15) Discussion (Fansubs, mainly oversubbing then some other problems)

Ok, I don’t know what to put here that will not get me flamed. I am going to go with: Fansubbers can you not do a show that all ready have three groups doing them? I know you really like the show, but I think you should take that time and energy and spend it on flaming people like me and say that the work someone has done is terrible. Hell, read a book. Now, for the people that are being flamed on by the previous people: Can you not be complete children and not release the show due to people hating on you? That is just silly. Now the people how are not fansubbers and are still complaining: SHUT UP! They are doing this for free. They are spending their time, energy, and brain power to allow you to understand a show that you are watching on YouTube, because you cannot afford an external hard drive.

(1:32:16-1:35:34) Wrap-up

It looks like I lied about there not being notes. Next week we will talk about H-games and things related to it. It’s not what you think.

(1:35:35-1:39:18)Closing and stinger

Here is a small compare and contrast of the infamous over 9000 scene.

The classic version

Episode 06 - In Soviet Russia, Horse Ride You

This is episode 6 of the SSAA or the A** Backwards Anime Podcast. Just as our name suggests, we struggle to talk about a topic that we half-planned. In this episode we talk about adaptations of mangas and see if they hold up to what the original authors planned. For some anime adaptations we cover are: Berserk, Black Lagoon and Tenjou Tenge. For dramas we cover: Great Teacher Onizuka and Life. We briefly mentions some movies before gushing over Speed Racer. We also have our opinions on Death Note: the manga, anime and the movies.

Show Notes
Black Lagoon
Tenjho Tenge
Detective Conan SP
Death Note Movie

Here is L typing.

God I loved this movie. Look to the right side of the page and buy this movie cause this video does not do it justice.

Video comes with "THE POSE" and a brief glimpse of Rain.
